Game Length And Ties
Regular season games are 60 minutes or 15 points, which ever occurs first. Teams must finish playing the point when time expires (play does not halt at the horn). If the final point ties the game, one more point is played to determine a winner.
Time Keepers
Each Captain is responsible to designate an official timekeeper. The two time keepers (one for each team) are expected to synchronize their watches. All games will begin within 5 minutes of the time posted on the website.
Half Time
A 2 minute halftime will be taken at 9 points. If the halftime occurs in the last 5 minutes of the game, no time will be taken for the half, but the teams will reverse the pull and field position from the start of the game as if a halftime had been taken.
Timeouts
Each team has a one minute timeout per half. Timeouts do not carry over from the first half to the second. No team may take a timeout in the last 5 minutes of the game. A team that calls for a timeout in the last 5 minutes of the game results in a turnover.
Player Ratio
The desired player ratio is 4/2 (M/F); offense sets the line. It is expected that each team will have at least two ladies for every game. Captains may come to agreement on a different player ratio as dictated by the turnout for each game (see Forfeits).
Forfeits
A team forfeits the game if they do not have 5 players at game time. If both teams are in a forfeit position, the following chart outlines the possibilities of forfeited games:

General League Rules
The league will follow The Official UPA 11th Edition Rules.
Spirit
Spirit songs/games are recommended to follow every game (5 minutes to prepare). Captains should give Spirit nominations (League Director will provide Spirit Forms) to the League Director at the end of every game, or email to league@saintjohnultimate.com every week.
New Players / Roster Changes
Team Captains may add new players to their roster at any time during regular season and they must inform the League Director of any roster changes. New players should pay the registration fee before playing their 3rd game. The new player has the option of joining any team, regardless of which team they played their first game with.
Eligible Players
Captains can pickup players for their roster from outside the league at any time during regular season play. That player must pay league registration before they play their second game. At this time the captain and league director must meet to discuss which team roster that player will be added too. Only registered players who have played at least one regular season game are eligible for playoffs.
Trades
All requests for trades must be approved by both Captains involved and communicated to the League Director.
DISCLAIMER: If both Captains agree, any of these rules can be superseded BEFORE the game begins. Spirit Song/Game and any Roster Changes are excluded from this disclaimer.
